Kintsukori (or Kintsugii) is the Japanese art of mending broken ceramic vessels with gold. Literal translation would be "golden joinery," or "to patch with gold." This long and difficult process often yields a vessel of even greater value than the original. What a powerful metaphor for life in general.
"Ring the bells that still can ring; forget your perfect offering.
There is a crack, a crack in everything; that's how the light gets in."
